The inner layer of the sock acts as a second skin and is made with hydrophobic yarn. As you move, the inner layer wicks away moisture, which helps reduce excess heat on your skin, while the outer layer interacts with the inner layer to absorb friction. The addition of a lightly cushioned footbed in the inner layer also improves comfort on long hikes.
